Macron to Meet Zelenskyy, Trump at Élysée Palace Before Notre-Dame Ceremony, Le Monde Confirms
French President Emmanuel Macron will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President-elect Donald Trump on Saturday, December 7, ahead of the reopening ceremony of Notre-Dame Cathedral, according to Le Monde.
"Emmanuel Macron will host US President-elect Donald Trump on Saturday at the Élysée Palace, followed by a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, before attending the reopening of Notre-Dame de Paris, which they will both visit, according to the French presidency," the publication stated.
The Élysée Palace has not confirmed whether a trilateral meeting between Macron, Trump, and Zelenskyy will take place. Additionally, there is no official confirmation of a one-on-one meeting between Trump and Zelenskyy.
According to Le Monde, Trump and Zelenskyy are among approximately 40 world leaders invited as VIP guests for the reopening of Notre-Dame Cathedral on December 7.
Previously, French President Emmanuel Macron praised US President Joe Biden’s decision to allow Ukraine to use long-range American missiles for strikes inside Russia, calling it "a good decision".
