On February 27, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced that the United States, in coordination with its allies, has agreed to increase military aid to Ukraine.

The statement followed a phone conversation between Rutte and US President Donald Trump.

In a message posted on X, Rutte highlighted NATO’s commitment to strengthening defense capabilities and supporting Ukraine.

“US & NATO are getting stronger. NATO Allies are moving quickly to invest more in defence. Big increases announced & others to follow. On Ukraine, Allies are preparing billions more in aid + contributions to security guarantees,” Rutte stated.

Previosuly, it was reported that the meeting between Russian and U.S. delegations in Istanbul concluded after six and a half hours, the Russian delegation left the place of negotiations without comment.
