Zelenskyy Confirms Upcoming Meeting With Trump This Week

On February 26, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed upcoming negotiations with the United States, scheduled for Friday, February 28, including a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Speaking during his evening address, Zelenskyy stated that Ukrainian officials are actively working with their American counterparts in preparation for the talks.

“An agreement with America. Support for our country and our people. Guarantees of peace and security—this is key to ensuring that Russia no longer threatens other nations. I will meet with President Trump,” Zelenskyy said.

President Zelenskyy also emphasized the importance of continued U.S. support, highlighting that strength is essential on the path to peace.

Previously, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is set to visit Washington on February 28 to sign an agreement on the development of natural resources in Ukraine.
