Satellite imagery has revealed extensive damage to Russia’s 23rd Arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate (GRAU) near the village of Oktyabrsky in the Tver region. The images, shared by American OSINT researcher MT_Anderson via X (Twitter), show that over 58 buildings, several open storage areas, and nearby railway infrastructure have been either destroyed or severely damaged. The attack appears to have targeted ammunition depots, trains, and rail facilities used for loading munitions.

On September 21, Ukrainian drones carried out a large-scale strike on the ammunition depot. The resulting fire and explosions led to widespread destruction across the northern part of the facility, with satellite images showing significant damage to the infrastructure. Analysts believe the depot was storing critical military supplies, including ammunition for missile systems and artillery.

Reports indicate that during the attack, trains loaded with ammunition were present at the site. Several railcars were destroyed, and the railway infrastructure suffered significant damage, disrupting supply lines.

This strike follows a similar drone attack that took place on September 18 in the nearby town of Toropets, also in the Tver region. That attack targeted another key military storage site, leading to large explosions and the evacuation of local residents. The Toropets depot reportedly stored missiles for Iskander tactical missile systems and Tochka-U complexes.

OSINT sources confirm that, between the attacks on September 18 and 21, at least two major ammunition depots in Russia have been significantly damaged, leading to operational challenges for the Russian military. According to Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU), the strikes have degraded Russia’s ability to store and transport vital military supplies.
