New Ukrainian Drones Hit Key Russian Shahed Production Site in Yelabuga

The Russian Shahed production facility in Yelabuga, Tatarstan was attacked by drones deployed by Ukraine’s 14th brigade of the Unmanned Systems Forces, sources from the Ukrainian Armed Forces told Ukrainian Truth on April 23.

The aircraft-type drones, which are equipped with aerial bombs, represent a new development in Ukraine’s drone capabilities and can cover distances of over 1,500 kilometers.

The facility, located in the Yelabuga Special Economic Zone, is responsible for producing Shahed drones, a significant component of Russia’s military operations.

Earlier, a powerful explosion rocked the Kirzhach district of Russia’s Vladimir region, according to Governor Alexander Avdeev. The blast reportedly occurred at the 51st ammunition depot of the Russian Ministry of Defense’s Main Rocket and Artillery Directorate.
