A Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jet carried out a precision strike on a Russian company command post in the temporarily occupied Kherson region, utilizing two French-made AASM HAMMER bombs, according to a video released on the “Sonyashnyk ” Telegram channel, which is affiliated with Ukraine’s Air Force on April 22.

The strike targeted a two-story building in which a group of Russian troops had gathered. Ukrainian reconnaissance drones tracked the movement and concentration of Russian forces inside the structure prior to the attack.

Footage shows Russian personnel entering the building moments before it is struck by two precision-guided bombs. The explosions completely demolished the structure.

Open-source researchers from the Telegram channel WarArchive identified the strike location as the city of Oleshky, on the Russian-occupied left bank of the Kherson region.

A separate video released recently shows another Ukrainian MiG-29 strike in the village of Babyne, also in occupied Kherson.

That attack likewise targeted a Russian company command post and personnel, using the same French-made AASM HAMMER bombs.

The AASM (Armement Air-Sol Modulaire), also known as HAMMER, is a modular upgrade kit for unguided “dumb” bombs, similar to the American JDAM.

It includes a guidance system in the front, with either GPS, thermal imaging, or laser targeting options, and a rear-mounted rocket booster to increase range.

France deploys two primary types of AASM kits: the Hammer-250, used with 227 kg (Mk. 82) bombs, and the Hammer-1000, designed for 908 kg (Mk. 84) bombs.

Earlier, on April 9, Ukrainian forces successfully destroyed a Russian Tu-22M3 long-range strategic bomber, valued at approximately $100 million, using a drone.
