North Korean Troops Join Combat Against Ukraine in Kursk Region, Ukraine Reports
Over 11,000 North Korean soldiers are stationed in Russia’s Kursk region and have already participated in battles against Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Ukrainian Chief of General Staff Anatoliy Barhylevych stated on a national TV on November 25.
“These are primarily general-purpose units,” Barhylevych explained.
“They are disguised as locals from Russia’s Far East, complete with appropriate documents. They are trained to conduct operations in Europe’s theater of war.”
Reports of North Korean military personnel being deployed to Russia’s Kursk region have previously surfaced in intelligence briefings from Ukraine, Western nations, and South Korea.
Earlier, Ukrainian Operational Grouping of Troops “Kharkiv” refuted claims of North Korean soldiers being present in the Kharkiv region.
