Off the Battlefield, Three Ukrainian War Medics in London Save Man’s Life

Three combat medics from Ukraine’s Third Army Corps, while on leave in London, saved a man’s life after witnessing a serious road accident. They were the first to reach the scene, providing critical emergency care and stabilizing the victim before paramedics arrived, the corps reported on October 16.
The medics—Sofia, Mivina, and Rebecca—known in their unit as “The Trio,” were riding in a taxi when they saw the crash unfold.

“Without hesitation, they stopped the vehicle and began stabilizing the injured man—stopping the bleeding, applying a dressing, and monitoring his vital signs until doctors arrived,” the corps said.
The man had sustained severe injuries, but, according to the Third Army Corps, thanks to the swift and professional actions of the Ukrainian medics, his condition was stabilized on the spot before being transported to a hospital.
The service members were in London to attend the premiere of a biographical film as part of the “VARTA” project.

“Corps medics remain on guard for life even far from the front lines. ‘The Trio’ proves that being a combat medic isn’t just a profession—it’s a mindset. Ready to act—anywhere, anytime,” the statement concluded.
Earlier, a Ukrainian soldier on leave in Venice saved a young man who had been stabbed in the leg.
