Poland will not intercept Russian missiles and drones over Ukrainian territory, Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces Wiesław Kukuła stated on Tuesday, November 12, in an interview with Rzeczpospolita.

“No. Our position, as well as that of our allies, is clear. We will not do this,” Kukuła said answering a question about the possibility of intercepting missiles and drones in Ukrainian airspace.

"Today, our responsibility to protect allied airspace is defined by our own borders," Kukuła emphasized.

Previously, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski announced that the issue of intercepting missiles over Ukrainian airspace by NATO member forces may be raised at the upcoming NATO ministerial meeting.
