A new production facility for Quantum Systems has opened in Ukraine. The plant opening took place on April 18th during a delegation trip, with Ukrainian Minister of Strategic Industry, Alexander Kamyshin, in attendance.

Quantum Systems, a European drone company based in Munich, Germany, has been actively supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces. They provide reconnaissance drones and operate a local service, support, training, and logistics center with 25 Ukrainian employees. This center trains drone pilots and directly implements technological advancements in the reconnaissance systems.

Quantum Systems Vector reconnaissance drones have been deployed in Ukraine since May 2022. The new production facility aims to increase production capacity to around 1000 drones yearly, including spare parts. The company expects to employ around 100 people by the end of the year and plans to invest up to €6 million over the next two years. This demonstrates a commitment to providing Ukraine with long-term defense support.

“Quantum Systems supports the fight for freedom and democracy with its involvement in Ukraine. The company’s private investments contribute to the country’s security and resilience,” said Dr. Robert Habeck, Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.

Quantum Systems CEO, Florian Seibel, expressed his belief in the project and Ukraine: “Ukraine has trusted our systems since the beginning of the war. With our own plant, we want to express our trust in Ukraine and our conviction that the future of drone technology is being written here.”
