American rapper Yeat has released a teaser for his upcoming music video FLYTROOP, set to debut this Thursday. In the preview, Yeat pays tribute to Ukrainian sniper Vyacheslav Kovalskiy, who set a world record in November 2023 for the longest confirmed sniper shot.

The rapper shared two photos on Instagram—one depicting his portrayal of Kovalskiy and another showing the original image of the Ukrainian sniper, as featured in The Wall Street Journal.

Vyacheslav Kovalskiy, 59, is a former businessman turned sniper for Ukraine’s SBU counterintelligence. In 2023, during Russia’ war against Ukraine, he broke the world record by hitting a target from a distance of 3.8 kilometers in Kherson region. The shot took approximately nine seconds, and Kovalskiy used the Ukrainian-made Volodar Obriyu sniper rifle, which measures 1.82 meters in length.

Yeat’s FLYTROOP track is part of his album LYFESTYLE, released in October 2024. The album also features collaborations with artists like Kodak Black, Don Toliver, Lil Durk, and Summrs. The music video for FLYTROOP is set to drop this Thursday.

Yeat, whose real name is Noah Oliver Smith, gained popularity in 2021, particularly through TikTok with hits like Money So Big and Get Busy. His albums 2 Alive and Lyfe debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart, while Afterlyfe reached the Top 4.
