On April 2, Russia launched another series of mass drone attacks on Kharkiv, with the city being targeted multiple times throughout the day. Additionally, Dnipro is also under a mass drone attack.
“Over the last forty minutes, the enemy has carried out 14 strikes on the city of Kharkiv,” mayor Ihor Terekhov wrote in a Telegram post at 22:29 Kyiv time.
Media reports now indicate 15 strikes, with some areas of the city affected by fires.
“In the Kyiv district of Kharkiv, hits from Shahed-type UAVs have been recorded. There are fires at the impact sites,” stated Oleg Synehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
A fire also broke out in Cherkaskyi Lozovyi, Kharkiv region, due to a Russian drone attack.
“Information regarding casualties and damages is currently being verified,” said Synehubov.
Meanwhile, Dnipro is also under a mass drone attack, with media reporting at least 10 drones targeting the city.
On the same day, a Russian loitering munition hit a residential building in Kharkiv, injuring at least five people, including a 10-year-old boy. The attack involved a “Molniya” drone and targeted a high-rise building in the city’s Kyivskyi district.
