The UN Security Council's lenient approach toward Russia undermines the global security system, and the organization's inaction has led to an effective paralysis and loss of efficiency.

This was stated by Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the UN, Sergiy Kyslytsya, during a UN Security Council meeting.

Kyslytsya called for active measures and emphasized that if Russia’s presence is blocking the work of the Security Council, alternative formats for ensuring global security should be considered.

According to him, "this path is a river of blood that began to flow from the moment Russia took the Soviet seat in the Security Council."

The diplomat also added that Russia will continue to destroy the cornerstones of global security until they are completely shattered or until Russia itself is defeated.
