Russia Launches Deadly Drone Strike on Poltava, Leaving Two Dead and 11 Injured

As of July 3, Russian forces launched a drone strike on Poltava. As a result of the attack, two people were killed and at least 59 others were injured.
The head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Kohut, reported the incident on Telegram on July 3.
Kohut stated that the strike caused a fire and damaged civilian infrastructure.
“According to preliminary information, unfortunately, two people were killed and 11 injured. An emergency response headquarters has been deployed at the site. All necessary services are working,” the statement said.


Emergency services are currently operating at the scene, and the emergency response headquarters is coordinating efforts to eliminate the consequences of the strike.
Ukraine’s Air Force confirmed that the attack on the Poltava community was carried out using drones.
"The number of people injured as a result of the Russian attack on Poltava has increased to 59," stated the National Police of Ukraine.
Earlier, a Russian Molniya-type drone targeted an evacuation vehicle carrying wounded civilians near Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region, killing one person and injuring three others.
