Russia Launches Massive Artillery Strike on Kherson Killing Two, Injuring Eight

Russian forces once again carried out a massive artillery shelling of Kherson, a city south of Ukraine close to the frontline, resulting in two civilian deaths and injuries to eight others.
The attack occurred on October 31, 2025, at approximately 11:00 am. According to the State Emergency Service, the Russian strike damaged commercial pavilions, and a fire broke out at the site of impact.

The shelling killed a man and a woman, and eight more civilians sustained injuries, Kherson District Prosecutor's Office reported.
According to Head of the Kherson Regional State Administration Oleksandr Prokudin, three victims were taken to the hospital. Medics provided assistance to one woman on site.

A pre-trial investigation has been initiated into the war crime (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) under the procedural guidance of the Kherson District Prosecutor's Office.
Prosecutors and police investigators are currently taking all necessary measures to document the war crimes committed by the Russian military. Information regarding the victims is being updated.
Earlier, during an intense overnight attack, Russian forces targeted Ukrainian cities with missiles and drones, hitting homes and power grids. The strikes killed one person, injured dozens of civilians (including children), and immediately led to power outages across the country.
