Russia Launches Night Drone Strike on Odesa, Damaging Civilian Infrastructure

Russia launched an overnight drone attack on Ukraine’s Odesa region that damaged energy and transport infrastructure and injured one person, according to Reuters on November 11.
Regional governor Oleh Kiper said fires broke out at several energy facilities and that a Ukrainian Railways depot was hit.
“Critical infrastructure in the region is operating on generators, and emergency centers have been opened,” Kiper said.

He added that “despite the active work of air defense forces, the enemy attack caused damage to civilian energy and transport infrastructure.”
Ukrainian outlets and emergency services shared images of the aftermath, noting that rescuers quickly extinguished fires at affected sites. Local reports also cited damage to administrative buildings linked to the rail facility.
RBC-Ukraine reported the strike involved Shahed-type drones and referenced impacts on regional energy assets.
Earlier, it was reported that a wave of Russian missiles and drones struck Ukraine’s power grid and cities, including the Odesa region, damaging energy infrastructure and causing power/water service disruptions.
