Russian forces destroyed the building of the Kherson Regional State Administration on June 5, according to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the regional military administration.

This marks the second attack on the building on the same day. Witnesses reported that the blast created a crater reaching the first floor. In total, three explosions were heard across the city.

In the morning, Russian forces dropped four aerial bombs on Kherson. Denys Putintsev, Director of the Department of External Communications and Media Relations of the Kherson City Council, shared the consequences of the attack during a broadcast on Hromadske Radio.

“They planned five guided aerial bombs, four of which hit. As of now, two people are reported injured. We are receiving more information, and there may be more casualties, but for now, thankfully, only two men are known to have been injured,” Putintsev wrote.

The Kherson City Council building was damaged, along with three educational institutions.
