Russian Bombardment Destroys Homes in Kostiantynivka, Leaving Four Dead

Russian airstrikes on the city of Kostiantynivka in Ukraine’s Donetsk region killed four people and injured five others, State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported on April 28.
The attack sparked fires in a residential building and a car, both of which have since been extinguished by emergency services.
In total, the strikes damaged nine apartment buildings, 23 private homes, administrative offices, infrastructure facilities, and several vehicles.



Beyond Kostiantynivka, Russian forces also carried out airstrikes on the towns of Lyman and Bilytske. Fires broke out in both locations but have been brought under control by rescue teams.
Donetsk region faces regular Russian shelling, with cities and towns frequently coming under attack. Earlier, Russian forces launched a series of airstrikes on Kostiantynivka on the morning of April 27, resulting in the deaths of three civilians and injuries to four others, according to Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office on April 27.
Previously, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview with the Brazilian newspaper O Globo that International recognition of Crimea, Sevastopol, and the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions as Russian territory is a condition for peace.
