Deadly Russian Aerial Strike on Donetsk Region Leaves Three Killed, Four Injured

Russian forces launched a series of airstrikes on the city of Kostiantynivka in Donetsk region on the morning of April 27, resulting in the deaths of three civilians and injuries to four others, according to Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office on April 27.
The strikes occurred at approximately 10:48 a.m., when Russian troops dropped three aerial bombs on residential areas. The weapons used were identified as FAB-250 bombs equipped with Universal Planning and Correction Modules (UMPK), designed for precision strikes.
The munitions hit a private sector of the city, causing fatal injuries to a married couple aged 47 and 48, and a 78-year-old man. Four other civilians — two women aged 67 and 73 and two men aged 77 and 83 — sustained injuries of varying severity, including blast trauma, shrapnel wounds, and contusions.

Medical personnel have classified the condition of some of the wounded as moderate. Emergency assistance was provided at the scene.
In addition to the casualties, the attack damaged 21 private houses and two civilian vehicles.
A criminal investigation has been opened under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for violations of the laws and customs of war. Prosecutors are documenting the aftermath of the attack as part of the ongoing investigation.
Earlier, a Russian drone strike hit a residential building in Kamianske, Dnipropetrovsk region, killing one person and injuring four others, including an 11-year-old girl. Fires damaged multiple apartments and vehicles, while emergency crews continue restoration efforts, according to regional authorities.
