Russian Drone Strike Hits Passenger Minibus in Kherson: One Dead, Six Injured
A Russian drone attack on a passenger minibus in Kherson has resulted in the death of one man and injuries to six others, according to regional officials.
The incident occurred around 5 p.m. in the Shumen neighborhood of Kherson. Alexander Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that the drone dropped an explosive device directly on the minibus, causing significant casualties.
“Following the attack, a 50-year-old man sustained injuries incompatible with life,” Prokudin stated.
Additionally, six individuals were injured in the strike, including women aged 30, 47, 51, 55, and 58. A 21-year-old man also suffered blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to his legs. All injured have been transported to local hospitals for medical care.
Earlier, on December 20, Russian forces carried out an airstrike on a cancer treatment facility in Kherson using two guided aerial bombs (KABs). While no casualties were reported, the facility suffered severe structural damage, according to the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
