Russian Drones Attack Humanitarian Aid Warehouse in Zaporizhzhia, Injuring Two

14 Russian-made Shahed type attack drones struck the city of Zaporizhzhia overnight on June 14, wounding two police officers, Regional Military Administration head Ivan Fedorov reported. Emergency services responded to multiple fires and damage reports across the city as air-raid warnings remained in effect as was reported on June 14 by Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
“A humanitarian facility caught fire as a result of Russian shelling. Vehicles, a shop, and a public-transport stop were damaged. The blast wave shattered windows in several multi-story buildings.” Ivan Fedorov, head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration stated.

At approximately 09:25, a warehouse storing 100 tonnes of humanitarian aid—delivered by five trucks—was engulfed in flames, destroying all supplies on site, with preliminary losses estimated at $3 million.
These strikes mark the latest in a sustained campaign of drone and missile attacks on Zaporizhzhia and surrounding districts, where Russian forces have stepped up assaults on civilian infrastructure despite repeated international calls for restraint.

Earlier, the US Treasury slapped sanctions on Russian defense firms and the state-run entity operating the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, aiming to undercut Moscow’s military funding. The measures, announced on January 15, targeted companies linked to missile and engine production. These sanctions seek to disrupt Kremlin-controlled resources and hamper further aggression.
