Russian Forces Have Blown Up Kurakhove Reservoir Dam. Floodwaters Are Approaching Villages in Donetsk Region
Russian forces have blown up the Ternivska Dam at the Kurakhove Reservoir in the Donetsk region, causing water levels to rise near the settlements of the Velykonovosilkivska community.
This was reported by Junior Sergeant and squad commander of the 24th Aidar Assault Battalion, Stanislav Bunyatov, call sign "Osman."
"The Russians blew up the Kurakhove Dam, resulting in flooding in several villages toward Bahatyr. Roads are still usable, but with some limitations, and movement of armored vehicles on dirt roads around these settlements is, of course, restricted," he said.
Head of the Kurakhove City Military Administration, Roman Padun, noted that inspecting the dam near the village of Stari Terny, part of the Kurakhiv community, is currently impossible due to ongoing shelling. However, water levels are rising in villages along the flow of the Vovcha River.
