On the night of October 6, Russian forces launched an attack on Odesa using drones, damaging civilian infrastructure, including warehouses and cargo vehicles. Fires broke out at the targeted locations but were quickly extinguished, according to the Odesa region’s State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU). One man was seriously injured and has been hospitalized.

Additionally, a fire erupted in a warehouse facility covering 100 square meters, caused by the impact of the attack. Firefighters were able to contain and extinguish the blaze. Shrapnel also damaged a gas pipeline, which SESU crews promptly secured to prevent further danger.

Odesa Governor Oleg Kiper later reported that a civilian cargo vessel was also damaged during a missile strike. Law enforcement agencies are documenting the aftermath of the attack, which Kiper described as another instance of Russia targeting civilians.

Simultaneously, Ukraine’s Air Defense Forces intercepted 56 Shahed drones out of the total 87 launched by Russian forces during the night. These drones were deployed from various launch sites, including the Russian regions of Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Kursk. The drones targeted multiple regions, including Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kyiv, and Cherkasy.

Over the last day, Russia launched 90 attacks across Ukraine, which included two Iskander-M ballistic missiles, one Iskander-K cruise missile, and one guided Kh-59/69 missile.
