Russian Missile Fragment Possibly Containing Phosporus Charge Hits Street in Sumy, Video
Russia launched the Tornado multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) on Sumy on November 26, with preliminary reports indicating the use of phosphorus charges, reported the Deputy Head of the Sumy District Council on national TV on November 26.
The attack sparked widespread fires, including the destruction of a dormitory and industrial areas.
A service station was destroyed, with over a dozen vehicles either damaged or completely burned.
Nearby residential buildings also sustained significant damage, with shattered windows and a fire breaking out in one apartment.
Emergency crews are working to assess the full extent of the damage and ensure public safety in the affected areas.
Earlier, Russian forces launched an unprecedented attack on Ukraine, firing Iskander-M ballistic missiles from Voronezh and Kursk regions, alongside a record number of Shahed attack drones and unidentified UAVs with Ukrainian Air Defense downing 78 of them.
