Russian Missile Strikes Cause Over $100 Million in Damage to Kyiv Businesses

As Russia stepped up its attacks against Ukraine following stalled peace negotiations last week, overnight missile and drone strikes on Kyiv on October 25 destroyed key business facilities, causing estimated losses exceeding $100 million, according to a report by The Kyiv Independent on October 27.
The logistics complex of pharmaceutical distributor Optima‑Pharm—a 29,000 m² warehouse and its adjoining office—was wiped out. The company’s CFO stated: “estimated losses exceeded $100 million.”. According to contractor data, the destroyed warehouse covered 29,000 sq m.
At the same time, production facilities of coffee chain Idealist Coffee were severely impacted by the same attack. In a post, the firm said:
“The night ballistic attack brought further destruction of our production capacities… The real condition and restoration deadlines are currently unknown.”

The strikes killed at least three people and injured more than 30 in Kyiv. The broader assault included nine Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 62 strike drones targeting Kyiv, according to RBC.
In August 2025, Optima-Pharm’s facility was hit previously, demonstrating a repeated targeting pattern.
The October 25 attack was part of a broader overnight assault that also struck several other regions across Ukraine with ballistic missiles and drones,
