Russian Troops Intensify Attacks in Pokrovsk Direction to Reach Dnipropetrovsk Region Border

Despite Moscow’s statements about their readiness for a ceasefire during the May holidays, the Russian forces have significantly increased the intensity of combat, focusing their main efforts on the Pokrovsk direction.
This was reported by Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on his Telegram channel on April 30.
According to Syrskyi, the Russian forces are persistently attempting to breach the defense of Ukrainian forces in the Pokrovsk area and advance toward the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
“To this end, the Russian command sends fresh units into battle every day, driving their soldiers to death while reporting on illusory successes and victories,” Syrskyi said.
In light of the situation, the Commander-in-Chief dedicated the day to working with brigades holding the line in this direction, aiming to address critical issues and assist unit commanders in organizing combat operations.
“During the visit, I closely listened to the commanders, made decisions on additional supplies of ammunition, drones, electronic warfare systems, and reserves. Special emphasis was placed on unmanned strike systems,” Syrskyi added.
On April 21, Syrskyi stated that intense fighting was still going on near the Ukraine-Russia border in the Sumy region and adjacent areas of Russia.
