Late on April 4 and into the early hours of April 5, Russian forces launched a second attack on Kryvyi Rih using Shahed-type drones. According to local officials, one woman was killed and at least seven people were injured.

The strike also damaged tram infrastructure, halting services and caused fires in multiple buildings and garages.

The drone strike followed an earlier ballistic missile attack on the city, which had resulted in the deaths of 18 people, including nine children. Ukrainian authorities later confirmed a total of 19 fatalities from both strikes.
