Seven People Dead, Dozens of Homes Destroyed as Russia Bombards Donetsk Region

At least seven people were killed and 11 wounded in Russian attacks on Ukraine’s Donetsk region over the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported on February 27.
“Russian forces launched 3,456 strikes targeting both the frontline and residential areas. The enemy shelled seven settlements, including the cities of Kostyantynivka, Pokrovsk, Rodynske, and Siversk, as well as the villages of Bahatyr, Dovha Balka, and Illinivka,” the statement read.


The relentless bombardment damaged 85 civilian structures, including 42 residential buildings.
Earlier, a Russian airstrike on the city of Kostyantynivka in the Donetsk region killed five people and injured 11 others.

The attack injured five women and six men, ranging in age from 33 to 83 years old.
Russian forces reportedly dropped at least six FAB-250 bombs with UMPK guidance kits, targeting both the city and its surrounding areas.
