British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy are allegedly set to travel to Washington next week to present a unified plan for resolving the war to U.S. President Donald Trump, Daily Mail reported on March 4.

This visit would follow the confrontation that happened between Zelenskyy and Trump at the Oval Office in which Trump pressed Zelenskyy to express more gratitude for U.S. support. This led to the collapse of a planned mineral deal and was followed by Washington’s decision to halt military aid to Ukraine.

On March 2, Starmer announced the creation of a “Coalition of the Willing”, a group of nations committed to supporting Ukraine and facilitating peace negotiations. Led by the United Kingdom, the coalition is expected to include France, Germany, and Scandinavian countries.

In a statement on X on March 4, Zelenskyy expressed his regret regarding the meeting in Washington not going the way it was supposed to and added that it is time to make things right.

“We are ready to work fast to end the war, and the first stages could be the release of prisoners and truce in the sky — ban on missiles, long-ranged drones, bombs on energy and other civilian infrastructure — and truce in the sea immediately, if Russia will do the same,” Zelenskyy wrote on X.

On March 3, Starmer called on Members of Parliament to support Ukraine and its president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, emphasizing the importance of unity in the face of Russian aggression.
