Top EU Officials Arrive in Kyiv to Mark Third Year Anniversary of Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine

On the morning of February 24, top EU officials arrived in Kyiv to show their solidarity with Ukraine on the 3d anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
Among the guests, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President António Costa, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, Icelandic Prime Minister Kristrún Frostadóttir, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, and Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.
“On the 3rd anniversary of Russia’s brutal invasion, Europe is in Kyiv. We are in Kyiv today, because Ukraine is Europe,” von der Leyen wrote on X.

Additionally, among the arrivals were Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Estonian Prime Minister Krištenas Mihal, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs and Spanish PM Pedro Sánchez.
