Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced that on February 24, the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the leaders of 13 countries will arrive in Kyiv for high-level discussions on Ukraine’s security and strategic priorities.
Speaking at a press conference, Zelenskyy stated that in addition to the 13 leaders attending in person, 24 others will join the summit virtually, according to a correspondent from United24 Media at the 'Ukraine. Year 2025' forum.
The meeting will also include representatives from the European Union, including European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, as well as delegates from the Nordic-Baltic platform and other key international partners.
“We will have 13 leaders present in Kyiv, along with 24 leaders joining online. The EU leadership and representatives of the European Parliament will also be here. This is an important opportunity to discuss Ukraine’s strategy and the framework for security guarantees,” Zelenskyy said.
The agenda for the meeting includes discussions on Ukraine’s immediate security concerns and long-term stability. According to Zelenskyy, strategic coordination with European and global partners is essential in addressing the challenges posed by the ongoing war.
Additionally, Zelenskyy noted that he intends to propose a separate high-level meeting in a European capital in the coming days to further discuss security guarantees for Ukraine. “I believe that in the near future, we should meet in one of Europe’s capitals to establish what format can serve as a security guarantee for Ukraine,” he added.
