US President Donald Trump announced on February 12 that he expects to meet Russian leader Vladimir Putin, with their first face-to-face meeting likely to take place in Saudi Arabia, according to the Daily Mail on February 12.
“We expect that he'll come here, and I'll go there, and we're going to meet also, probably in Saudi Arabia. The first time we'll meet in Saudi Arabia, see if we get something done,” Trump told reporters at the White House.
His statement came just hours after he revealed that he had spoken by telephone with both Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Earlier, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt shared insights into US President Donald Trump's stance on Russia and Vladimir Putin, following up on the President's recent call with him.
