UK and Anduril Sign Over $38 Million Deal to Supply Advanced Attack Drones to Ukraine

The United Kingdom and the Anglo-American defense technology company Anduril have signed an agreement to enhance Ukraine’s Armed Forces with more advanced attack drones to combat Russian aggression in the Black Sea.

This was reported on March 6 in a press release on the UK’s governmental website.

“The deal with Anduril UK has been agreed ahead of the Defence Secretary’s [John Healey] meeting with his U.S. counterpart Pete Hegseth at the Pentagon today, “ the press release reads.

The agreement comes after last week’s meeting of world leaders in London, where the Prime Minister and allies reaffirmed the necessity of continued military support for Ukraine to strengthen its position in pursuit of a just peace.

According to the statement, the new contracts, totaling nearly £30 million [$38.7 million] and backed by the International Fund for Ukraine, will result in Anduril UK supplying cutting-edge Altius 600m and Altius 700m drones – known as loitering munitions – that are designed to monitor an area before striking targets that enter it.

“With a £2.26 billion loan from seized Russian assets, plus £1.6 billion worth of air defense missiles announced for Ukraine in the last week, the UK is continuing to show leadership in securing a lasting peace for Ukraine,” Healey said.

On March 4, Daily Mail reported that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy are allegedly set to travel to Washington next week to present a unified plan for resolving the war to U.S. President Donald Trump.
