Ukraine Conducts JDAM-ER Airstrike on Russian Drone Operators in Kursk Region, Video

Ukrainian tactical aviation has carried out a precision airstrike on a Russian drone operator position in Russia’s Kursk region, near the village of Tyotkino. The strike was captured on video and published by the Telegram military-affiliated channel “Sonyashnyk” on July 29.
According to open-source intelligence project WarArchive, the actual target was located near the village of Korovyakivka in the Glushkovsky district, slightly farther from Tyotkino. The position reportedly housed operators of Russian drones, though the specific type of UAV was not identified.
The strike was carried out using a US-supplied JDAM-ER , a precision-guided bomb that transforms conventional munitions into GPS-enabled weapons capable of striking targets over 70 kilometers away. The JDAM-ER system includes foldable wings and a guided tail section, allowing for extended range and course correction during flight.
Judging by the video, reconnaissance and damage assessment were likely conducted by a Ukrainian Leleka-100 drone, a domestically produced UAV used for intelligence and surveillance operations.

This operation follows recent Ukrainian strikes on components of Russia’s S-400 air defense systems in both Belgorod and Kursk regions. The attack, carried out using long-range strike capabilities, “significantly reduced the area covered by Russian long-range air defense systems in the region,” the General Staff said.
On the night of July 28, Ukrainian special forces from the Department of Active Operations of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine conducted a successful mission in the northern part of the Black Sea.
