Through the DOT-Chain Defense  system, 5,600 drones worth a total of $5.4 million were delivered to the frontline in the first month of its operation.

The announcement was made by Ukraine’s Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal via Telegram on September 2.

“In the first month of work, 5,600 drones worth $5.4 million were delivered to the frontline through the DOT-Chain Defense system. DOT-Chain Defense has become a platform where combat brigades can directly order different types of UAVs. Currently, 12 brigades on the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Kharkiv fronts are involved in the project,” Shmyhal said.

He noted that the military praised the convenience and speed of the marketplace, where they can choose drones themselves and receive them not in months, but in just a matter of days.

Since its launch on July 31, DOT-Chain Defense has significantly accelerated the supply of drones to the frontline. Delivery times have been cut more than fivefold, averaging just two weeks, with the fastest order reaching troops in only five days.

The platform currently offers 151 drone models from 25 manufacturers, including newly added heavy bomber drones, which can be delivered in as little as 12 days. In total, Ukrainian forces have already ordered more than 11,000 drones through the system, worth nearly $9.9 million.

According to Shmyhal, the Ministry of Defense is now working on scaling up the marketplace. Units can also receive equipment directly from manufacturers through the DOT-Chain Defense platform using points from the Army of Drones Bonus program.

Earlier, it was reported that drone deliveries to Ukrainian troops via the DOT-Chain Defense system are being completed up to four times faster than through standard procurement, with some orders reaching the frontline in under two weeks. Units deployed in the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Kherson sectors have already received the equipment.
