Ukraine Destroys $25 Million Russian Tor-M2 Air Defense System, Video

Artillery reconnaissance scouts from Ukraine’s 15th Separate Artillery Reconnaissance Brigade “Black Forest” located and enabled the destruction of a Russian Tor-M2 short-range surface-to-air missile system on a key sector of the front, ArmyInform reported on May 31.
According to the ArmyInform reporting, “thanks to the vigilant work of “Black Forest” reconnaissance, it was possible to detect the Russian Tor-M2 system,” which is designed for air and missile defense, as well as protection of critical military installations and ground forces. After discovering the target and transmitting its coordinates, Ukrainian forces delivered a precision strike that fully neutralized the complex.

The Tor-M2 is a modern, highly mobile air defense vehicle capable of engaging aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, and drones at close ranges. Each system is valued at approximately $25 million. The destruction of this unit not only degrades Russian air defenses but also demonstrates the effectiveness of coordinated reconnaissance and fire-support operations.
Previously, it was reported that two powerful explosions occurred near Desantnaya Bay in Vladivostok, striking a site used for Russian Pacific Fleet drills. Ukrainian intelligence (HUR) claimed responsibility, stating that the blasts hit both a checkpoint controlling bay access and a command post of the 47th Separate Air Assault Battalion of the 155th Guards Marine Brigade, with no casualties reported.
