Ukraine is Preparing 10 More Security Agreements to be Signed
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced in his daily speech that Ukraine is preparing 10 more bilateral security agreements.
This was stated by Zelenskyy on June 13, after a day of meetings at the G7 Summit in Italy.
“We have already signed seven security agreements with all G7 countries. In total, seventeen agreements have already been signed, and we are preparing to sign another ten,” Zelenskyy said.
Yesterday Ukraine signed a historic bilateral security agreement with the US, which is a stepping stone toward Ukraine’s future membership in NATO.
On June 14, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida signed a 10-year bilateral security agreement, where Japan has pledged $4.5 billion in aid to Ukraine over the next decade.
