Ukraine’s Armed Forces struck several high-value Russian military targets overnight, including radar and aviation control systems in occupied Crimea, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on February 26.

The operation was carried out near the city of Dzhankoi, where Ukrainian forces successfully hit a P-18 “Terek” radar station along with an RSP-6M2 airfield control system, the military said.

The P-18 radar is designed for automatic target detection, calculating an object’s position and distance, and transmitting radar data to air-defense operators. Such systems play a key role in early warning and battlefield awareness, helping Russian forces track aerial threats.

Meanwhile, the RSP-6M2 system manages aircraft movements during approach and landing procedures, guiding planes to runways even when pilots lack visual contact with the ground. Disabling the system could complicate aviation operations at nearby military airfields.

The General Staff said the strikes were part of a broader series of coordinated attacks targeting Russian military infrastructure across multiple regions.

According to Ukrainian officials, forces also struck a logistics warehouse near Novozlatopil, a drone command post close to Poltavka in the Zaporizhzhia region, and an area where Russian personnel were concentrated near the town of Rodynske in the Donetsk region.

In addition, Ukrainian forces reported a successful hit on an enemy command-and-observation post near the settlement of Yasne Sonce in Russia’s Bryansk region.

Analysts say targeting radar and control systems can have outsized operational effects, reducing situational awareness and complicating coordination between air defenses, aviation units, and drone operators.

The latest attacks continue a pattern of increasingly precise Ukrainian strikes aimed at weakening Russia’s ability to sustain operations in occupied territories and border regions.

Earlier, Ukrainian strikes reached a 55Zh6U Nebo-U radar station, which was hit near Yevpatoria. The Nebo-U is a long-range radar system used to detect aerial targets and support air defense operations. The estimated cost of such a radar system is around $100 million.
