Ukraine to Receive Over 30,000 DeepStrike Drones by 2025
The Ukrainian military will receive over 30,000 DeepStrike attack drones in 2025 as part of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Resilience Plan, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced on December 5.
"We are showing the world that Ukraine is capable of innovation and technological independence. Even in the midst of war, we are developing cutting-edge production capabilities, strengthening our defense capacity," Umerov stated.
These next-generation drones, partially funded by international partners who have invested in Ukraine's defense industry, are designed to autonomously operate over long distances and strike targets with high precision.
“These systems represent not just a response to current battlefield needs but a cornerstone of our long-term defense strategy,” Umerov added.
According to Umerov, the deployment of these drones underscores Ukraine's determination to modernize its military, signaling to allies and adversaries that the nation seems resilient and innovative.
Previously, Ukraine's Minister of Digital Transformation announced that the country had developed three analogs of the Chinese Mavic drone, designed to meet NATO standards and equipped with electronic warfare (EW) protection and automatic landing systems.
