Ukraine has developed three analogs of the Chinese Mavic drone, designed to meet NATO standards and equipped with electronic warfare (EW) protection and automatic landing systems, according to Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation.

Since the beginning of summer, members of the Brave1 Defense Tech cluster have been working on creating a Ukrainian version of the Mavic. So far, three such drones—"Linza" and "Zoom" by Frontline, and "Shmavik" by Reactive Drones—have been introduced and are already operational on the front lines.

“These drones are adapted to the realities of war. They are equipped with communication systems resistant to enemy EW, as well as features like automatic landing and a 'return-to-home' mode,” Fedorov explained.

He added that a significant portion of the components for these drones are produced by Ukrainian manufacturers.

“Mavic is one of the most popular drones on the front lines—it’s simple, effective, and affordable. However, it’s considered expendable for the military, with units potentially losing up to five of these ‘birds’ in a single day. At the same time, importing Mavics is complicated and costly, which makes creating a Ukrainian analog a top priority,” Fedorov emphasized.

Previously, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Kyiv inspected the latest models of products with automatic detection and target engagement systems, including drones, FPV drones, ground robotic complexes, and a "drone swarm " control system.
