Ukraine to Reveal Victory Plan in the Coming Days
Ukraine’s victory plan is set to be unveiled soon, possibly within the next few days, Ukraine’s Ambassador to Germany, Oleksii Makeiev, said during an interview with ZDF on October 13.
The plan will include a combination of military, diplomatic, and economic measures aimed at compelling Russia to engage in negotiations. It also involves additional sanctions against Russia as part of the broader strategy.
Presidential advisor Mykhailo Podolyak in an interview with the Wall Street Journal said that Ukraine’s victory plan includes a request for more ATACMS and Storm Shadow missiles, along with permission to use them against military targets in Russia.
Podolyak said that permission to strike targets deep inside Russia could increase pressure on the Kremlin and weaken Russian forces, potentially changing Putin’s strategy.
While Ukraine has received long-range missile systems from its Western allies, such as US ATACMS and British Storm Shadow, it has not been allowed to use them within Russia. Podolyak cautioned that without sustained support from Western allies, the war could potentially prolong for years.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that an invitation to join NATO is key to ending the war and a vital part of Ukraine’s victory plan.
