Ukraine Unveils New Ground Drone ‘Pliushch’ Featuring a 10-Meter Mast

The Ukrainian company ‘Robotic Systems’ has unveiled a ground drone called ‘Pliushch’ (‘ivy’), featuring a 10-meter mast capable of carrying a repeater and EW systems, Militarnyi reported on January 3.
The Pliushch ground robotic system is an autonomous platform with an extendable mast, capable of functioning as a repeater to provide radio communication in hard-to-reach areas or as a mobile EW station to counter enemy systems.
The Pliushch weighs 775 kg (around 1708 pounds) and can achieve a maximum speed of 9 km/h (5.5 miles/h) and boasts an operational range of 40 km (24.8 miles).
Control of the system is managed by the operator via radio communication, utilizing a SIYI 5.8 GHz patch antenna and is capable of operating at distances of up to 10 km (6.2 miles) in open terrain, or 3 km (1.8 miles) in more rugged landscapes.
According to the news agency, the tracked platform provides excellent mobility while remaining silent due to its electro-hydraulic drive. It can be remotely controlled from a distance of several kilometers.
The system is capable of deploying and starting operations within 80 seconds and returning the drone to its previous position takes only 60 seconds.
On January 31, the Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Unmanned Systems confirmed the use of a long-range UAV capable of carrying a 250-kilogram bomb and reaching distances of up to 2,000 kilometers with the ability to return.
