Ukraine’s 425th Assault Brigade Liberates Torske Village in Lyman Direction, Dozens of Russians Captured

Ukrainian forces have successfully completed a major assault operation, dislodging Russian troops from the strategically important village of Torske in the Lyman direction.
The 425th Separate Assault Brigade “Skala” confirmed on October 24 that the Ukrainian flag is now flying over the settlement.
The operation was meticulously planned. Ukrainian military units first segmented the village, identifying Russian strongholds versus areas needing clearance. The assault groups then executed their plan step-by-step, characterized by precise coordination.
Following reconnaissance, Ukrainian troops systematically cleared the territory. The Russian defense was disorganized and quickly fractured under the pressure. Many Russian soldiers panicked and fled their positions, while others surrendered in groups.
Among the captured Russian soldiers were fighters from the 36th, 37th regiments, and the 9th brigade of the Russian army. The Russian command, in an attempt to hide the mass surrenders, reportedly ordered drone strikes on their own troops who had fallen into Ukrainian captivity.
Earlier, a Russian soldier attempting to surrender to Ukrainian troops near Orikhiv was killed when a drone operator from his own unit dropped an explosive on him.
