Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief Announces Completion of Military Operation in Sudzha

Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi confirmed that “the search and destruction operation of the enemy forces in the city of Sudzha has been completed.” He made this announcement during his video call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on August 14.

He added, that Ukrainian forces captured more than 100 Russian soldiers in the Kursk Region and achieved an advance of 1-2 kilometers along various front lines, as of the following day.

He concluded that the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to execute defensive operations in both the Eastern and Southern operational zones.

Previously, Syrskyi reported on Ukraine’s defensive actions at the front and operations in the Kursk region, stating that about 1,000 km² of the territory of the Russian Federation is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
