Ukrainian arms manufacturer Fire Point expects to field its first mass-produced ballistic missile before the end of this year, according to company owner Denys Shtilerman, who spoke in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Natalia Moseichuk on November 21.

Shtilerman said the company’s Flamingo cruise missiles are already in serial production, with three missiles completed per day. He declined to disclose the total number ordered but noted that output can scale rapidly if customers commit to advance financing. “Everything depends on one thing—whether the money is there or not,” he said.

He added that Fier Point has a standard production package designed for foreign clients interested in acquiring large missile stocks.

Countries seeking around 1,500 FP-5 missiles, he explained, can build their own production facilities under a prearranged scheme: Fier Point manufactures roughly 3,000 missiles, the customer covers the full cost, and half of that output remains with the purchasing country.

Shtilerman emphasized that the manufacturing process is designed for rapid expansion and does not require highly specialized labor. “One month of training and a person can assemble it,” he said. “Nothing is complicated.”

The company plans to launch serial production of its Ukrainian ballistic missile as well, aiming to have it officially adopted by the end of the year.

“We hope to place it in Ukraine’s arsenal by the end of this year,” Shtilerman said. “The scale will be the same—they will come out like hotcakes.”

Most components are already domestically produced. Aside from certain chips and imported inflation-resistant materials, Shtilerman said Fier Point is now building its own production line for high-precision fiber-optic components.

Earlier, reports emerged that former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo joined the advisory board of Ukrainian defense company Fire Point.
