Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence (HUR) carried out its biggest one-shot strike in Crimea yet, destroying two Russian An-26 transport aircraft along with coastal radar stations.
According to the military intelligence service on September 25, special forces from the “Prymary” unit carried out a raid on the peninsula, destroying two An-26 aircraft, a surface surveillance radar station, and a coastal MR-10M1 “Mys M1” radar system.
HUR emphasized that operations to eliminate high-value enemy assets in Crimea are ongoing. The losses inflicted on Russian forces were confirmed in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s daily report on September 24, 2025.
Meanwhile, for the first time, Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate special unit “Prymary” has eliminated two Russian Be-12 Chaika anti-submarine amphibious aircraft in temporarily occupied Crimea.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, the Be-12s were equipped with costly systems intended to detect and counter submarines. During the same raid, the “Prymary” unit also destroyed a Russian Mi-8 multipurpose helicopter.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Air Force reported another major success. On the morning of September 25, air defense units shot down a Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber over the Zaporizhzhia axis. The strike occurred at around 4 a.m. as the aircraft attempted to bombard Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs.
According to the Air Force, the Su-34 was conducting terrorist attacks against the city when it was intercepted and destroyed.
