Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) shared rare footage of a drone strike on a Russian oil platform in the Caspian Sea, highlighting the effectiveness of its operations in 2025, SBU reported on December 31.

One of the most remarkable operations, named “Spiderweb,” saw the SBU strike 41 Russian strategic aircraft in just a few hours, causing over $7 billion in damage to Russian forces.

Additionally, underwater drones named “Sub Sea Baby” targeted a Russian “Kilo-class” submarine in the Novorossiysk Bay, further weakening Russia’s missile capabilities in the Black Sea.

The SBU also carried out a third successful strike on the Crimean Bridge, severely damaging its supporting structures.

Furthermore, long-range attacks on Russian oil refineries in the country’s deep rear have reduced oil exports by more than 30%, limiting the operational capacity of Russia’s shadow fleet.

Previously, it was reported that SBU has struck a third Russian offshore oil production platform in the Caspian Sea, according to SBU sources cited by Ukrainska Pravda.

The operation was carried out by fighters from the SBU’s Alpha Special Operations Center, using long-range strike drones to hit the target deep inside Russian energy infrastructure.
