Ukraine’s 78th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade used an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) to deliver New Year’s gifts directly to frontline positions while continuing active combat operations, the unit said in a Telegram post on January 1.

The brigade posted a video showing a UGV transporting holiday packages to soldiers without disrupting ongoing combat missions.

“These days, we remember our brothers who were taken by the war, and we continue to fight for Ukraine, ‘ the unit noted.

Previously, it was reported that a ground-based combat drone operated by Ukraine’s Third Assault Brigade held a frontline position for 45 consecutive days without infantry presence, the Third Assault Corps reported.

According to the unit, the unmanned ground vehicle was deployed daily to a contested sector, where it used machine-gun fire to suppress repeated Russian attempts to advance.
