Ukrainian drone forces carried out a large-scale strike against Russian Shahed and Geran drone infrastructure at the occupied Ukrainian Donetsk airport, Robert “Magyar” Brovdi, commander of the 414th Separate Brigade “Birds of Magyar,” reported in a Telegram post on December 30.
The operation targeted a key hub used by Russian forces to store, assemble, and prepare Shahed-type drones for launch in temporarily occupied Donetsk.

Brovdi said the strike was planned and executed by the brigade’s intelligence unit in coordination with the newly established Deep Strike Center of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces.
According to Brovdi, the attack hit multiple important facilities, including a logistics hub for Shahed and Geran drones, pre-flight preparation and maintenance points for Geran, Shahed, and Gerbera drones, a central warehouse storing warheads for Shahed systems, a storage site for Gerbera drones, and a concentration area for Russian personnel and technical staff involved in drone launch preparations.
Brovdi said Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces are rapidly expanding their operational reach and effectiveness, adding that further results from ongoing operations can be tracked through the force’s public strike assessment platform.
Previously, it was reported that Ukrainian drone forces carried out a targeted nighttime strike on a Russian military facility in the village of Berdyanske, Donetsk region, resulting in over 120 casualties among elite Russian GRU troops.
