Ukrainian defense tech company UNWAVE has unveiled a new software solution, “Pastka,” designed to automatically control electronic warfare (EW) and electronic intelligence (ELINT) systems.

The innovation was showcased for the first time at DALO Industry Days 2025, according to Militarnyi on August 22.

Pastka provides operators with full situational awareness on an interactive map, displaying the status and reactions of detection and jamming equipment in real time. The system can function both manually and automatically, while also allowing for remote configuration and automatic updates of signals and task types.

According to UNWAVE, the solution is aimed at countering the growing drone threat. “Drones are the new reality. Russia attacks both the frontline and civilian infrastructure to inflict damage and spread terror. Pastka can automatically control EW and ELINT systems, making protection more reliable and reducing the burden on operators,” the company told Militarnyi.

The system can be deployed to defend ports, power plants, gas stations, and mobile communication towers, as well as to monitor border areas. Pastka also supports integration with EW and ELINT systems from other manufacturers. In practice, ELINT sensors are positioned to detect threats, while EW units are engaged to suppress them, Militarnyi reported. Once a hostile drone is identified, the system determines its direction and communication channel before activating the jammer.

A mobile version of Pastka has also been developed, allowing compact EW and ELINT equipment to be mounted on vehicles. These units can operate effectively both on the move and in stationary mode.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine’s new long-range cruise missile, the “Flamingo,” went from concept to battlefield use in under nine months.

Developed by a Kyiv-based defense company, the missile has already entered serial production. According to Terekh, Fire Point aims to ramp up output to about 200 units per month by October.
